Screening and conference on the theme of missing persons in Mexico, as part of the Festival FILMAR en América Latina.

This conference will address the situation of Mexico's 115,000 disappeared persons. It will look first at the reconfigurations of contemporary disappearances, then at the important institutional responses deployed in recent years, and finally at the numerous social mobilizations of collectives of families of the disappeared, before concluding with some challenges of the search for missing persons in Mexico.
Lecture preceded by the screening of the film Sin señas particulares and followed by a discussion with the speaker, moderated by Valeria Wagner (Department of Romance Languages and Literatures, UNIGE).
